I work with adults who feel stuck in the present because of overwhelming or traumatic experiences from the past, helping them find real relief—not just insight, but lasting change.

Many of the clients I work with say things like:
“I should be over this already.”
“I’ve already talked about this—why does it still affect me?”
“I have a good life…so why do I feel this way?”

These experiences are more common than people realize. Trauma often shows up in ways that aren’t always obvious—difficulty connecting with others, anxiety, low self-worth, people-pleasing, social withdrawal, irritability, racing thoughts, sleep issues, or even physical symptoms like headaches or stomach pain.

What many people don’t realize is that trauma is stored both emotionally and physically. Just as the body can hold tension after a physical injury, the brain and nervous system can remain “stuck” in a fight-or-flight response long after the original event has passed. This is why, for many people, traditional talk therapy alone may not fully resolve what’s happening on a neurological level.

In my work, I integrate Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) with talk therapy to help clients process and release the impact of past experiences. EMDR allows us to shift how the brain and body respond to those memories, reducing their emotional intensity and helping you move forward with greater freedom and stability.

I specialize in working with adults navigating:

  • Childhood trauma and unresolved past experiences

  • Anxiety (generalized, social, and panic)

  • Addiction and coping patterns

  • People-pleasing and relational patterns

  • Emotional overwhelm and nervous system dysregulation

My approach is both structured and compassionate. We begin by understanding your story, identifying what you want to be different, and creating a clear plan for moving forward. Therapy is collaborative and paced in a way that feels safe, while still helping you make meaningful progress over time.

As part of Living Hope Counseling, I work with clients using in-network benefits with insurance,, helping make therapy more accessible and financially predictable.

I also understand personally how difficult it can be to reach out for help. Finding the right therapist matters, and taking that first step requires courage. My goal is to provide a space where you feel supported, understood, and able to engage in the process of healing without pressure or judgment.

If you’re ready to get started, I offer a free 20-minute consultation to determine if we’re a good fit. I would be honored to walk alongside you as you move toward greater clarity, relief, and a more grounded sense of yourself.
